ROWS Function in Excel
Table of Contents
In Microsoft Excel, the ROWS() function returns the number of rows in a given reference. The reference can be a range of cells, an array, or a single cell.
For example, if the formula =ROWS(A1:C4) is entered in a cell, the function will return the number of rows in the range A1:C4 which is 4.
It could be used in combination with other functions or formulas to create dynamic ranges, to make calculations based on the number of rows in a table and so on.
